Midgård – an exhibition about the Viking Age! Midgård – Gotland’s Vikings is an exhibition that offers you a fascinating insight into the Viking Age, from the Vendel period right through to the Middle Ages. Join us on a journey through history, where we combine botany, animals, astronomy, archaeology, art and much more. The exhibition highlights Gotland’s important role in trade, culture and technology during this period. Through images, artefacts, audio and interactive stations, you’ll experience the world of the Vikings in a vivid way.The exhibition is accessible to everyone and is aimed particularly at young people, but is suitable for visitors of all ages. Midgård is a permanent exhibition that opened in May 2025. The exhibition was produced, amongst other things, in close collaboration with secondary school pupils from Gotland.
