How to plan your Gotland visit
The practicalities — how to get here, when the island is at its best and how to get around.
Getting here & around
Ferry with Destination Gotland from Nynäshamn or Oskarshamn to Visby in just over three hours — or fly in about half an hour. In summer there's also a cruise from Stockholm.
📅Best time to go
June–August offers swimming, light evenings and Medieval Week. May and September are quieter, cheaper and just as beautiful.
