Give kayaking a go and explore Bulverket. We have single and double kayaks, Canadian canoes and children’s kayaks with ‘training wheels’, all of which can be easily booked via our website. Once out on the lake, you’ll have the chance to enjoy a nature-filled experience of a unique ancient monument – Bulverket. In the shallow Tingstäde marsh, with a maximum depth of 1.7 metres, you’re always close to solid ground. This provides a safe environment in which to try out a proper sea kayak, or to take the whole family out on an adventure. Tingstäde Marsh is also home to Bulverket, the remains of a large wooden fortress dating from the 1130s. Originally, it consisted of a square platform with each side measuring 170 metres. Bulverket now lies scattered in large piles of timber on the lake bed and can be seen from both the water’s surface and the air. Book now on our website
