About the place

Gotlandsbrynen is based in Burgsvik in southern Gotland. The company bases its operations on the local raw material, sandstone, as well as the inherited craft traditions and expertise needed to develop and manufacture both traditional and modern products. Gotlandsbrynen manufactures, amongst other things, whetstones in various designs, lanterns, foot files and grinding stones. At the Stone Museum in Kettelvik, situated along the beautiful coastal road to Hoburgen, the history of stone craftsmanship is on display, and visitors also have the opportunity to try their hand at stone carving.
