About the business
If you enjoy drawing and painting, would like to do so more often, or would like to take up drawing, you’re welcome to join Urban Sketcher Gotland’s sketching walks. We go for a walk and sketch together, and share our drawings with the wider world. Everyone is welcome ✎ Our sketching walks: The sketching walk takes place on a Sunday from 1.00 pm to 3.30 pm, roughly once a month during spring and autumn. They usually start from Skolporten in Visby, although there may be exceptions. The activity is free of charge, unless otherwise stated. Please note the MEETING POINT from which the sketching walk starts and the TIME we meet. Changes may occur due to various circumstances, such as the weather. Up-to-date information on each individual sketching walk is available both here on Gotland.com under Events and on the Facebook Event page, where you’re welcome to sign up when you plan to attend so that we can estimate the number of participants. We welcome all skill levels and encourage personal styles, all kinds of media and choice of materials. Please bring your own materials of your choice. This could be, for example, a sketchbook, pen and colours – whatever you feel comfortable with. Please feel free to bring a folding stool to sit on and dress for the weather. Don’t forget sun protection and drinking water when it’s hot, or a hat and gloves when it’s cold. Checklist: Check that the meeting point and time are correct. Paper, sketchbook or pad. One or more pencils. Eraser. Watercolour set, coloured pencils or crayons. Paintbrush. Paper or a small cloth for wiping off paint. Water bottle. Folding stool. Sun protection or gloves.
