Art in a unique medieval setting. Tomas Lindström’s art reflects the landscapes and people of Gotland. You’ll see gates from the ruins of Visby and the ruins of Roma Abbey, the Cathedral and apples from Hablingbo. Mimmi Gibson’s art explores themes that resonate: freedom, longing and her home town of Visby. Mimmi Gibson and Tomas Lindström live and work in Visby. As well as her art, Mimmi works as a brand manager at Region Gotland, whilst Tomas Lindström is an actor and theatre director, working throughout Sweden. They have also previously worked together as tenants of Petesgården in Hablingbo and run a holiday let business on their own farm, Lilla Burge, in Hablingbo. Mimmi trained at Nyckelviksskolan in Stockholm and is a member of Grafikgruppen in Visby. Mimmi works mainly in printmaking, but also paints in acrylics. She explores themes from life that have moved her and which she hopes will also resonate with visitors to her exhibitions and buyers of her art. She was born in Visby and grew up there. Eleven years ago, she moved back to the island after spending 20 years on the mainland. Tomas Lindström is a self-taught artist who has taken part in workshops with various artists, including Alex Kalley and Mustafa Özel. Tomas is a trained actor and also works as a director. His work spans the whole country. Tomas was born in Tibro, Västergötland. Tomas paints figuratively with abstract elements. He takes on portrait commissions.
