Discover the history of Lärbro

The War Hospital Museum displays period artefacts – many of which are authentic – and moving stories about people and events, presented through documents, photographs, audio files and film. The museum, which has been relocated to a period-style barrack, is now reopening ahead of summer 2024. The Local History Museum displays one of Gotland’s first cars, a 1904 Oldsmobile, with a rich history. A 1920 Model T Ford that was once owned by a swindler. Bicycles, motorbikes and mopeds. The exhibition, which tells the story of life in northern Gotland during the 19th and early 20th centuries, showcases crafts, side jobs, domestic settings and cultural figures.
