The Ark live at Grå Gåsen

In the summer of 2022, The Ark reunited in front of 150,000 fans – now the band is taking the next step. In the summer of 2026, The Ark will take to Swedish stages once again, with 24 dates on the tour schedule – The Ark are back!- We embarked on the 2022 tour with a bit of trepidation, as a sort of loving trip down memory lane. Then something happened; what was meant to be a temporary reunion for one summer instead brought something to life. Something bigger than we’d imagined was born. We wanted more. Together. Not to repeat the past, but to create something together once more. All of a sudden, music began to emerge too. In 2026, we’ll distil everything we’ve been down to the very core of who we are. This isn’t just a return visit; we want to create the ultimate The Ark experience. A visual and musical whole that is the very essence of The Ark, says the band. The Ark are a Swedish glam rock band formed in 1991 in Rottne, outside Växjö. The band consists of Ola Salo (vocals), Lars “Leari” Ljungberg (bass), Mikael Jepson (guitar), Martin Axén (guitar), Sylvester Schlegel (drums) and Jens Andersson (keyboards). Since their debut, The Ark have established themselves as one of the most influential and charismatic groups in modern Swedish pop and rock history. The band had their breakthrough in 2000 with the album *We Are The Ark*, which featured the hit single *It Takes a Fool to Remain Sane*. The song won a Grammis and went on to become a generation-defining anthem for individuality and the right to be oneself. In the years that followed, The Ark released a series of successful albums, including *In Lust We Trust* (2002), *State of the Ark* (2004), *Prayer for the Weekend* (2007) and *In Full Regalia* (2010).Following a successful career and six studio albums, The Ark announced in 2010 that they would be calling it a day. Their farewell tour in 2011 concluded with a concert in Stockholm in front of an enthusiastic audience. In 2022, The Ark reunited for an anniversary tour that celebrated their musical legacy and once again reaffirmed their unique significance to Swedish popular culture.
