Summer music in the monastery ruins – Barre & Bergwall sing Wiehe
Mats Barre, formerly from Gotland and then director of Hassela Gotland, treats you to a wealth of Mikael Wiehe’s well-known and lesser-known tunes. From political protest songs to declarations of love and music by and about an old man. Mats is now emeritus and devotes much of his time to playing and singing ‘Wiehe – my way’, and he does it bloody well. We see Gotlander Roger Bergvall behind the stylish electric bass in many bands, and here too.A truly nostalgic evening for those of us who were part of the prog era in the 1970s, who believe in justice and peace, and who still love listening to Mikael Wiehe, who, until very recently – before he was overtaken by the mists of dementia – was both composing and performing.Limited seating available. Please feel free to bring a camping chair or blanket to sit on. Tickets can be purchased at the venue 30 minutes before the concert or booked in advance via www.biljettkiosken.se.
