Summer music in the monastery ruins – Anders Åstrand with the Global Percussion Network

The Global Percussion Network ensemble comprises a number of percussionists led by the internationally renowned musician Anders Åstrand. Anders spends his summers on Östergarnslandet and often gives concerts in the church at Gammelgarn; this evening he is joined by musicians from the USA, amongst other places.This evening promises percussion music of the very highest calibre, with the vibraphone and marimba forming the backbone alongside various rhythm instruments. You can look forward to a cavalcade of sounds and some light-hearted musical humour. Seating is limited. Please feel free to bring a camping chair or blanket to sit on.
