Summer music in the monastery ruins – Åkessånger & Gutavisor with Annika Fehling, Christer Jonasson Tolv and the duo Dan u Kjell

A light-hearted performance featuring songs in the Gotlandic dialect, combined with an atmospheric concert based on the poetry of Gotland-born Sonja Åkesson, featuring Annika Fehling, Christer Jonasson Tolv and the Gotlandic duo Dan u Kjell. Together, we create a warm, intimate and unforgettable evening where Sonja Åkesson’s groundbreaking poetry meets Gotlandic folk songs – a perfect blend of literature, music and Gotlandic camaraderie.Åkessonger – Annika Fehling sings newly composed settings of Sonja Åkesson’s poems and recounts the Gotlandic poet’s life. Accompanied by Christer Jonasson Tolv on guitar, we’ll explore themes such as alienation, motherhood, creativity and women’s voices – music that goes straight to the heart.Gutamålsvisor – Dan u Kjell treat us to cheerful, familiar songs in the Gutnish dialect – songs about the island’s nature, history and everyday life, delivered with humour and warmth.
