A summer’s evening with Austerljaus

Austerljaus is a duo comprising Julia Westberg and Elliot Ingelse. Together, they create a poetic musical landscape where tradition meets innovative expression. Using the harp, guitar, piano, effects pedals and harmonised vocals, Austerljaus weave together their own songs in the Gutnish dialect with reinterpreted classical ballads. Their music moves between folk music, art music and improvisation, and is characterised by a dreamlike and contemplative tone. The concert offers an intimate and atmospheric experience where both language and sound take centre stage. The event is part of Snäckan’s summer programme and is organised by Equmeniakyrkan Gotland.
