Birds of Prey Course on Gotland

Experience birds of prey on this weekend course in southern Gotland. Stay in comfortable double rooms at Homhällar in Vamlingbo and enjoy the lovely atmosphere at this historic guesthouse. In the middle of autumn, Storsudret is teeming with birds of prey. Alongside more common species such as the sparrowhawk and the common buzzard, we’ll spot falcons and marsh harriers – both blue and brown! White-tailed eagles are seen every day, and Gotland is home to the world’s densest population of golden eagles. But we don’t just see birds of prey. Other birds are also on the move. Right now, the migration is at its most intense. Geese, ducks and various small birds are heading south. We come across them in the beautiful surroundings down at Rivet near Hoburgen. During the day, birds of prey soar high above the barren alvar landscape around Muskmyr, near Sundre Church. Read more about the golden eagle on Gotland here!
