Her sister has been given the honourable task of ensuring that the newly arrived former Prime Minister, Stefan Carlsson – who has just moved into his new farmhouse – settles in well and generates positive publicity for the village. When Carlsson runs into trouble with his headstrong neighbour, Harry Flodman, Emma is tasked with tactfully persuading him to move on. Despite Flodman’s quirks and eccentricities, and his rather ramshackle little cottage with its stinking outdoor toilet and farm shop selling moonshine, Hanna has no hesitation about which side she’s on in this acrimonious conflict.
