ÖSTERGARN’S BIO: THE BEEKEEPER

The film depicts both the everyday and the existential, from the buzzing of a beehive to a relationship on the rocks. It is a story of loss, silence and a longing for closeness, but also of the hope that can blossom when one dares to face the difficult. *The Beekeeper* is about love, nature and the cycles of life, whilst also exploring a longing for a sense of belonging, far from the clamour of the big cities. In the lead role is Adam Lundgren (Never Wipe Tears Without Gloves, *Känn ingen sorg*, *Vår tid är nu*), and at his side two impressive actors from Värmland – Guldbagge-nominated Marika Lindström (*Bränn alla mina brev*, *Vår tid är nu*, *Om jag vänder mig om*) and rising star Hedvig Nilsson.
