Norrbys Museigård in Väte – a lovely garden café and a child-friendly setting

Norrby’s museum farm in Väte is Gotland’s only cultural reserve that reflects rural life in the 1930s and 1940s. The farm was bequeathed to the Gotland Museum in 1995 and had previously been in the family’s possession since the early 20th century. The three siblings, Edvin, Martha and Erik, lived together on the farm until it was bequeathed to the museum. During the summer, Norrbys is open every day and offers a wonderfully child-friendly environment with guided tours and a cosy garden café. The café serves, amongst other things, hearty open sandwiches, traditional Gotland saffron pancakes, homemade pastries and ice cream. You can read more about Norrbys Museum Farm here.
