Music on a summer’s evening with Tomas Boström and the Gotland Jazz Trio

Tomas Boström, a Swedish singer-songwriter and musician who has lived on Gotland for many years. In recent years, Tomas has, amongst other things, devoted himself to writing sung paraphrases of the epistle readings for the Church Year. His interpretations of Leonard Cohen’s songs also attracted a great deal of attention. This resulted in *Mitt gömda jag*.Boström’s hymns have gained an international following, partly because he has long been a member of the international group of hymnologists known as the ‘Global Praise Working Group’. Tomas has hosted the programme *Sommar* on P1.Over the past year, Tomas has been awarded the Pälle Näver Prize and the Småland Academy’s Culture Prize. These honours culminated in him being awarded the King’s Medal Litteris et Artibus for his contributions to Swedish musical life. The Gotland Jazz Trio is an ensemble from Gotland’s music scene
