Music on a summer’s evening with Gotlands Brass

Gotland Brass is a professional brass sextet that performs traditional folk music, classical wind music and cross-genre projects drawing on jazz and folk music. The group has toured with artists such as Lena Willemark, Merit Hemmingson, Mikael Ramel and Orsa Spelmän, and has featured on recordings with Mikael Rickfors, amongst others.Every year, the group undertakes community centre tours, school concerts, concerts in care homes, concerts at the island’s libraries and a range of other projects. In the summer, Gotland Brass performs regular ‘brunnsmusik’ concerts in the Botanical Gardens in Visby. This traditional ‘brunnsmusik’ is performed on period instruments and in period costumes.
