Midsummer celebrations at Bottarve

At 12.00, we’ll gather to decorate the Midsummer pole with birch twigs and flowers. Please feel free to bring your own flowers and help create the beautiful maypole, which will soon become the natural centrepiece of the celebrations. At around 1.00 pm, we’ll raise the maypole together, after which the ring dance and traditional games will begin, led by Sassa and Georg Tumegård.Iréne Qvarnberg and Konrad Moberg will provide the live music that will have young and old alike wanting to take a turn around the maypole.Bring your family and friends and experience Midsummer as it has been celebrated at Sudret for generations – with joy, tradition and a sense of community in one of Gotland’s most beautiful cultural settings.Hoburgs Hembygdsförening warmly welcomes you to celebrate Midsummer’s Eve at Bottarve!
