Midsummer celebrations in Visby

Programme 2026 12:30: May Day procession from Södertorg. Accompanied by a horse and cart and folk musicians, we will walk through the streets of Visby to Paviljongsplan. 13:00–16:00: Celebrations at Paviljongsplan led by Thomas Jankert and Annika Fehling. 13.00 The May Day procession arrives at Paviljongsplan. We will decorate and raise the Midsummer pole. Please feel free to bring flowers for the pole. Sing-along. 13.30 Circle dance for the children. Circle dances and dance games to music by Gutebälgarna. 13.50 Folk dance performance by Visby Folkdansgille below the stage, accompanied by Gutebälgarna. 14.00 Performance by Systra Mi. 14.20 Performance by Annika Fehling with Christer Jonasson Tolv and Marianne Seid 14.40 Circle dance for the children: Circle dances and dance games to music by Gutebälgarna. 14.50 Sing-along 15.00 Folk dance performance by Visby Folkdansgille below the stage, accompanied by Gutebälgarna. 15.10 A shower of sweets for the children from the stage, sponsored by Coop Gotland. 15.15 Performance by Karl-Petter’s orchestra. 15.45 Prize draw for those who have bought raffle tickets and contributed more than 50 kr. 15.55 Circle dance. Sing-along to ‘Ida’s Summer Song’. Horse-and-carriage rides for the little ones. Coffee, ice cream, pastries and more available to buy on site.
