Basic Course in MAG Welding – Theory and Practice
Prerequisites: This course is designed for beginners with no previous experience of welding. Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide you with a basic understanding of MAG welding and to enable you to carry out simple welding tasks on steel.Content: Introduction to welding and safety; Basic theory of MAG welding; Practical exercises in welding, primarily on steel; Review of ergonomic working methods; Tips for creating strong and durable welds. Course structure: The course is divided into two parts:A theory session on a Saturday (full day). A practical welding session on the following Saturday. You can attend either the morning session from 8.00–11.45 or the afternoon session from 12.15–16.00. Course materials All materials and equipment required for the course are included in the course fee. Please bring sturdy clothing and safety footwear. Course leader Your course leader has extensive experience of welding and is highly committed to the subject. He uses a pedagogical approach to help you, as a beginner, succeed. The instructor is also keen to inspire and guide you through your first welding projects. Good to know: Please bring hard-wearing clothes and safety footwear for the practical session.
