Low season at Tingstäde Kayak

In the shallow Tingstäde marsh, with a maximum depth of 1.7 metres, you’re always close to solid ground. This provides a safe environment in which to try out a proper sea kayak, or to take the whole family out on an adventure. Tingstäde Marsh is also home to Bulverket, the remains of a large wooden fortress dating from the 1130s. Originally, it consisted of a square platform with each side measuring 170 metres. Bulverket now lies scattered in large piles of timber on the lake bed and can be seen from both the water’s surface and the air. Book now on our website
