Janne Schaffer pays special tribute to Ted Gärdestad on his 70th birthday

The audience will be taken on a journey from the 1960s pop scene, via collaborations with ABBA and Ted Gärdestad, to projects with Björn J:son Lindh and the Electric Banana Band. Schaffer featured on 69 of Gärdestad’s recordings and 46 ABBA songs, including “Waterloo”. Through the TV programme *Stjärnorna på slottet*, he also reached an audience of nearly two million viewers.Special tribute: Ted Gärdestad turns 70. Ted Gärdestad would have turned 70 this year, so there’ll be a bit more focus on him, whilst I’ll also reflect on the musical era that surrounded me from the time of his breakthrough right up to the present day – with songs like ‘Brusa högre lilla å’, ‘Norrland’, ABBA’s ‘Eagle’ and many more, plus stories, of course. I’ll also be performing some of the new music I’ve written for the new Swedish feature film *Biodlaren* (premiering 17 April). See you there!
