THE DANCE PERFORMANCE *BAGARNA*

*The Bakers* is a rhythmic and humorous dance and music performance set in a kitchen. Two bakers try to work together in a world of whisks, dough, flour and flavours. Their strong personalities take the audience on an emotional rollercoaster of absurdities, surprises and slapstick. The show has been created by the dance artists Alexandra Svensson and Matilda Larsson in collaboration with the Gotland Jazz Trio. They are driven by a desire to explore physical expression and to embody different characters through movement. Recognisable movements are combined with poetic and abstract dance. *The Bakers* is suitable for the whole family and will also be performed in schools. The performance lasts approximately 40 minutes. *Bagarna* is a co-production with Dans Cirkus på Gotland, the dance development organisation Region Gotland, Länsteatern på Gotland and the Längmanska Kulturfonden. The family performances are organised in collaboration with Roxy for children and young people.
